Heuer introduced the Carrera in 1964, and today, it's one of the most iconic vintage Heuer chronograph models out there. The Carrera has gone through an interesting design evolution, indicative of styles and trends of each era. Starting in the 1960s with the ref. 2447, the Carrera featured a classic round case with the crown and pushers on the right. Moving into the 1970s, Heuer created a variety of more vibrant styles and offered them with either manual or automatic movements, including the legendary Caliber 11 automatic chronograph movement introduced in 1969. This reference 73653, undoubtedly embodies the charm of the 1970s while staying true to its Carrera heritage, ensuring precise timekeeping with the strong and dependable manual-winding Valjoux calibre 7736.
The cushion-shaped case offers a deep blue metallic dial accented by white sub-registers and an outer decimeter track.
